Tackbok
A little space for the good things.

A gratitude journal should give you room to reflect. Tackbok brings a simple, private daily practice to iOS and Android, with no required account, ads, or paywalled features.
The idea
Keep the quiet simplicity that makes journaling approachable, while making space for more than text: the photos, voice notes, and small details that give a memory its meaning.
What I built
I designed and developed the iOS and Android app with React Native and Expo, along with its Astro website. Entries stay in an on-device SQLite database, with optional Google Drive backup. Photos, voice notes, moods, and tags give each memory more room than text alone.
- Offline journaling with optional biometric lock, reminders, and guided prompts.
- Backup, export, and restore, with imports from Presently and Gratitude App.
- An open-source codebase and a free app, without feature unlocks.
- Multiple languages, customizable themes, and an Astro website with app documentation.
